One strategy for determining which nuggets of Internet-gallbladder-advice might work is weighing the sheer volume of recommendations and the relative harmlessness of the advice.
It seems clear that BEETS are a beloved food of the liver and gallbladder. Beets are generally tasty, relatively harmless, and most of us don’t eat them enough anyway.
This simple, humble, beet salad is easy to make, easy to eat, and causes gallby no distress:
- Grate 1 whole organic beet into a bowl
- Add a quarter cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice
- Add two table spoons of flaxseed oil
Gallbladder snack. Anyone can eat this for good health. You can nibble on it all day long as an important in between meal snack. Alternate this with cucumbers during snack times and you’ll be on the right track.

Grate the beets and the cucumbers together, and you could even put a little ACV in for flavor. Now we’re talking MAGIC!!
I know apples are Ok too and if you add this to the grate you are in gallby heaven. one hopes.

I love beets and I’m looking forward to trying some again. But I have to be careful. Years ago I tried putting raw beets through a vegetable juicer. I also shoved the beet greens through there too. I tried to drink the juice, but barely got more than a swallow before I had to stop myself from throwing up. Whatever it is, maybe oxalic acid or something, I don’t know, something in raw beets is super-strong when you put it through a juicer and drink it all concentrated like that. I might even try this again just to see what happens. I’ve been noticing pale stools again several times over the past few weeks – I’ve had this problem intermittently for years – so that’s how I ended up finding this blog. Actually, I haven’t read the most recent entries in the blog to find out how it turned out over time, I’ll do that now. I appreciate anybody whose goal is to keep their organs and not let anybody chop them out. Once it’s gone, you can’t get it back! This is something that makes me very angry about mainstream medicine. The appendix is also a very important organ. It’s part of the immune system. Appendix removal increases your chance of bowel cancer. So I’m all in favor of finding alternative treatments. thanks for the blog

It is not quite clear -do you grate raw or cooked beet? Also adding some very small cut (with food processor) parsley is great as parsley leaf and root is great for stones as well.
